Jerry Mbakogu Picks Nigeria Ahead Of Italy


One of the hottest properties in Italian football, Jerry Mbakogu, is targeting a call - up to the Super Eagles after committing his international future to Nigeria despite living in Italy for the past ten years.

Before the end of this year, the Carpi star will be issued an Italian passport that will enable him feature for The Azzurri, but he has stated that he habours no ambition to represent the four - time world champions.

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has made a most shocking admission that he does not have a team as he begins his second stint in charge of Nigeria.
Keshi, who led Nigeria to AFCON glory in 2013 after a 19-year wait, recently penned a fresh two-year contract to continue as the country’s coach.

Buhari To Replace sports ministry with NSC


A report on Daily Independent suggests that President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari will not appoint a minister to head Nigeria’s sports ministry.

Sources close to the Daura-born retired general said the new government is not keen on appointing anyone to oversee the affairs of the ministry, preferring instead to allow the Director General of National Sports Commission (NSC) to relate directly with the presidency.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says Arsenal's title drought is 'boring'


Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho laughed off the Arsenal crowd's "boring" jibes by reminding the Gunners of their wait for the Premier League title as his side closed in on the trophy.

The Blues need six more points to be crowned Premier League champions for the first time in five years, but were jeered in Sunday's goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium for a stubborn performance which frustrated Arsenal, who last won the title in 2003-04.

"You know, I think boring is 10 years without a title. That's very boring," Mourinho said.
