Lucky Omeruo: I Am Better Than My Brother Kenneth And He Knows It

Birkirkara of Malta forward and Nigeria U23 forward, Lucky Omeruo has stated categorically that he is a better footballer than his older brother and Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo.

Even though both players don’t play the same position, Lucky says on a general scale, he is a better player than Kenneth, who plays for Middlesbrough on loan from Chelsea of England.

“Of course I am better,” he said smiling. “And besides, I am a striker and he is a defender so it’s even logical for a striker to do better than a defender.

“Hopefully, I believe and with time, I will do better than him. Even he (Kenneth) knows I will do better than him,” the younger Omeruo stated.

But despite claiming to be a better footballer than his better known sibling, Lucky admits it will be a gradual process for him to get the level Kenneth has gotten to.

“He (Kenneth) didn’t just start with the Super Eagles,” he continued. “He started with the U17’s and then the U20’s and you also know he didn’t just wake up to go sign for Chelsea and I believe I am on the same path.

“He was in Belgium before he signed for Chelsea and I believe I am going towards the same direction and I believe I will even do more,” he added.
