Manchester City were involved in one of the more exciting 1-1 draws
you’re likely to see in the Premier League prior to the international
break, drawing at home to fellow top-four contenders Liverpool.
Ex-Citizen James Milner opened the scoring for the away side after
coolly converting from the penalty spot, but Sergio Aguero restored
parity and earned City a point when he stole a yard on Ragnar Klavan to
convert Kevin De Bruyne’s excellent near-post cross.

Both teams had
glorious chances to win it, notably through Adam Lallana for Liverpool
and Aguero for City, but both squandered in front of goal to leave them
both to settle for what was probably a fair result. Pep Guardiola’s team
will now be looking to win their first Premier League game in almost a
month, last picking up three points during their 2-0 defeat of
Sunderland on March 5. Away from home, City have won three in a row in
the league since being hammered 4-0 at Everton, scoring eight and
conceding none during an professional sequence of performances against
